Eileen Klemm, M.A., is a Program Specialist and National Trainer for Check & Connect at the Institute on Community Integration (ICI), University of Minnesota. Her education and early career background is in school-based speech-language pathology. Currently, she provides leadership and support in the training of the Check & Connect. Ms. Klemm provides training nationally on the Check & Connect model, including implementation training, mentor training and ongoing fidelity of implementation workshops.

Provide state level leadership, general supervision, oversight of compliance with due process and procedural safeguards, conferred educational benefit and provision of a free and appropriate education (FAPE) to children, birth through twenty-one, who receive special education and related services in Minnesota schools.Develop evaluation instruments and methodology used to determine the degree of implementation of required special education standards.Monitor special education programs and services to determine the level of compliance with federal laws and regulations and state statutes and rules in districts and charter schools throughout the state of Minnesota.Serve as a training team member of the division of compliance and monitoring’s record review training team that is responsible for developing and providing training regarding compliance with the individuals with disabilities act (IDEA).

Graduate teaching assistant for the 5000 level course titled Principles and Methods of Program Evaluation. Working in conjunction with the professor, provided support for the online course during the summer session and the on campus course during the fall session.

Chairperson of the Peer Leader Site Educational Improvement Plan Team.Led a program evaluation team in the design and implementation of an evaluation of our Q-Comp program for the purpose of program improvement.
