Legal Assistant
Current• Provide the first line of contact with clients by greeting them in person and on the phone • Establish and organize files, monitor calendars, document actions, input information into file database and case management software, confirm case status with attorney• Enhance attorney effectiveness by providing high-level administrative support • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text to complete client documents• Keep clients informed by maintaining contact; communicate case progress• Track billable time and reimbursable expenses; prepare invoices and track payments• File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court• Compile, analyze, and organize information• Manage estate administration clients, assisting CPA on all matters from filing tax return to guiding executors through the probate process
