EILEEN BISTRISKY, MBA, CSEP, CMC strategically leads impactful, socially-responsible organizations both in house and as a consultant. She re-branded her award-winning firm to help with the latter. Effective Leadership Consulting helps clients achieve their objectives. From roots in event management, marketing, sponsorship and fundraising consultation, her boutique firm has evolved to integrate all areas of business into their consulting services. She has an Executive MBA through Royal Roads University, and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).In addition to consulting, Eileen has taught Event Management, Marketing, Sponsorship, and Proposals & Presentations at the Art Institute of Vancouver, as part of their one-year Event Management diploma program. While working in events, Eileen was committed to the development of the event industry as a whole. She was the first Certified Special Event Professional in Western Canada, and played an active role with the International Live Events Association (ILEA). In 2006, she won the Spirit of the Industry Award for outstanding contributions to the event industry in Canada at the Canadian Event Industry Awards in Toronto. As the 2010/2011 Chair of ILEA Canada, she led the Country to win International Region/Affiliate of the year at the ILEA International Spirit of Excellence (SOE) Awards in St Louis. In 2019, she was awarded the J.Robert Graves Pioneer Award at the SOEs in Minneapolis. She served three years on the ILEA International Board of Governors, is a two-time Past President of the ILEA Vancouver Chapter, Past Western Regional Vice President of ILEA International, has served on and chaired numerous other boards and committees, and speaks at conferences and meetings around the world.
