As an HRBP I was responsible for developing, managing, and implementing HR strategy and solutions for the part of the business I supported. Relationship building and driving a People First agenda were key to this role. • Contribute to the development of HR plans to ensure the business needs of relevant business groups are appropriately understood and represented. As Human Resources Manager at Portfolio Creative, I was responsible for full HR generalist management. My work focused on benefits, talent development, strategic thinking, and ensuring an engaging and productive workplace. I regularly consulted with clients and employees on policies and procedures. I enjoy creating solutions to problems, and working with colleagues to help them see a new perspective. In this role I had the opportunity to complete an RFP for our benefits broker services, partner with Finance to transition our payroll and HR administration, and develop and facilitate team training events.

I was responsible for new hire orientation and onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and policy management. During this time, I was able to add multiple voluntary benefits to our offering. I grew the HR team to ensure employee and business expectations were met.

I was the point of contact for our retail side, responsible for reference checks, employment verifications, filing, new hire paperwork, orientations, benefits administration, and supporting the HR staff. I also co-chaired the safety committee.
