In my position as a Medical Coder/Biller I performed insurance coding and billing for two Ophthalmologists/Occuloplastic Surgeons. I troubleshot complex medical billing issues including filing appeals with individual insurance carriers and grievances with the State Insurance Commissioner’s office. I also filled in at the front desk as needed answering phones, taking payments, and scheduling appointments.

As an Implementation Consultant, I worked with medical clinics to identify their specialty-specific needs relating to GE Centricity software, helped them customize the application to best suit those needs and provided user training.
