I am motivated by the positive impact I can help to create for the world. I started with mobilising public sector finances for social good, then moved on to mobilising a blend of public and private sector capital, and now mobilising venture capital. The amount of wealth generated in the capitalist world can be insane, yet a lot of it is still being achieved through degenerative, if not extractive, processes (on planet and people) that will only worsen the society/environment. We must start transforming capitalism into one that creates a better world to live in for everyone, including other species that thrive alongside humans, as well as many future generations to come. Hence, the areas that I am working on right now are: regenerative and resilient systems thinking, futures and foresight planning, redesigning the current systems and designing new future-proof ones.I am a proponent of initiatives that promote a gentler sustainable world e.g. Regenerative Economy, Purpose Economy, Permaculture, Beyond Growth, Earth4All, Well-being Economy Alliance, Doughnut Economics Action Lab, Circular Economy, Center for Humane Technology and Theory U.
