Following on from gaining my Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Insolvency, I moved to the client facing IVA Client Support department, to broaden my experience and knowledge of IVA.As one of 3 Technical Support Officers, I was part of a team responsible for technical support in a department of 70 people.This involved being available for any technical IVA or operational queries, identifying knowledge gaps and training needs, assisting with resolving complaints and suggesting and implementing improvements to processes to enhance the client's journey, preparing and delivering refresher training as well as updates regarding changes to processes or legislative requirements, maintaining good working relationship and liaising with the Insolvency Practitioners to ensure compliance and best practice.

As a Team Leader in the IVA Client Accounts department, I was responsible for leading and motivating a team of up to 8 Accounts Administrators. During this time, I lead 3 different teams, each with their functions changing and evolving.The role involved monitoring work output against targets, process training, mentoring and spot checking quality of work providing constructive feedback and further support where necessary, providing monthly data analysis, helping with any queries and escalating these to seek advice from the Insolvency Practitioners when necessary.

I started work at Totemic as an administrator in the IVA Client Accounts department, before being promoted to Team Leader after 6 months.The role involved checking the correct fees were drawn down on each IVA in line with the terms of each individual arrangement, carrying out various banking processes, reconciling bank accounts, dealing with creditor remittance queries, issuing client refunds, liaising with the customer facing department to amend client's payment plans following agreed changes.

Customer service role, taking orders for books over the telephone and via email, dealing with anyone from individuals to large chain bookshops such as Waterstones.This role involved dealing with customer expressions of dissatisfaction, liaising with the warehouse to rush orders if necessary, investigating the whereabouts of orders with courier services and also carrying out customer surveys.
