During my traineeship I had the opportunity to gain experience in several different areas of law. I specialised primarily in litigation where I gained experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery and defender reparation and managed my own caseload of mortgage repossession, debt recovery and defender reparation actions. I also gained experience in family law and agricultural and rural property law.

During my six-month secondment at RBS, I handled queries from branches, call centres and other parts of the RBS Group about Scottish legal issues including incapacity matters, mistaken payments and death. I also worked with the Savings and Investments Retail Banking Legal Team as the legal contact on projects to launch new products and improve online banking.
