Transitioning from the thriving Hospitality industry, I embarked on a new journey in September 2021 as Office and Sales Manager at Sigma Homes in Cork. At Sigma Homes, our mission revolves around architecturally designed, high-quality home additions with an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. In my role, I wear multiple hats:Assisting the CEO in running the business smoothly.Spearheading sales efforts for projects ranging from €120K to €1M.Nurturing client relationships, ensuring a seamless journey from design consultation to home handover.Overseeing our CRM system (ZOHO) and internal workflow management.Delegating tasks to Senior Management and facilitating weekly Team Meetings.Coordinating social media, marketing, and website progress.Managing HR operations, from recruitment to performance monitoring.Introducing new service offerings to meet the growing demand, including Design & Planning, Tender services, and one-off house builds.Managing the after care service and team, to include 'snagging'.Exciting times ahead as we continue to expand and innovate in the construction industry.

In 2016, I commenced my journey at The Killarney Oaks Hotel as a Duty Manager, part of a dynamic Senior Management team. My responsibilities encompassed the day-to-day operations of the hotel.I dedicated my initial efforts to enhancing the hotel's efficiency, implementing updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across various departments, and conducting comprehensive staff training, including supervisory development.During my first year, my focus shifted towards wedding sales and event management. I actively engaged with prospective couples, participated in wedding shows, and established strong relationships within the wedding community. Together with the Director, I revamped wedding packages and conducted market analyses to ensure competitive pricing strategies for the future.As I continued to evolve within the hotel, I played a pivotal role in training and mentoring new managers who joined our ever-changing management team. This extended to guiding them in day-to-day hotel operations and the intricacies of successful wedding sales and consultancy.As my role expanded, I managed various projects, including website updates, the administration of social media channels, and a strategic emphasis on online growth. I also took charge of handling customer feedback, both online and in-person, to ensure an exceptional guest experience.In recent years, particularly during the challenging times of the pandemic, I assumed a personal commitment to prioritize staff retention. This involved conducting employee appraisals, offering comprehensive internal and external training programs, and maintaining regular check-ins with staff. Additionally, I kept the team informed about evolving hospitality restrictions and reopening dates and shared valuable content on mental health and well-being.While I have since moved on from this role, I'm proud of the contributions I made to The Killarney Oaks Hotel during my tenure.
