Managing the product release pipeline for a Solar Direct Materials Program that addresses a greater than $1B SAM with an annual operating budget of $4M. This includes market sizing, product definition, materials specification, customer engagement strategy and product launch.

Compared module and array level performance of multiple solar technologies in different real-world operating environments to enhance acceptance of a-Si technologies by project developers. Coordinated with electrical and mechanical engineers to oversee the installation of PV systems. Monitored energy harvesting, irradiance, temperature, wind and spectrum for performance analysis of arrays up to 1MWP. Worked with Banker’s Engineers to develop the technical input for downstream bankability documents. Developed and implemented the long-term reliability testing program for HALT/HAST failure tree analysis.

Led the Module Performance Precision and Repeatability program to ensure accurate module pricing. Designed and implemented a production worthy calibration procedure for performance measurement of large area (5.7m2) single and tandem junction thin film solar modules that reduced factory downtime by 2%. Coordinated with external validation agencies in the US, Europe, and Asia to ensure compliance with IEC and ASTM standards for Class AAA irradiance, light induced degradation, temperature coefficient measurement, and current-voltage testing protocols. Provided field support and training on factory solar simulator hardware and operations. Oversaw the design and construction of a prototype large area organic thin-film solar cell. Collaborated with the COO and the CFO to secure $35M in venture capital funding. Monitored the growth of GPEC’s intellectual property portfolio and modeled expected research progress to project future market competitiveness. Studied energy level matching in organic thin-film solar cells for efficient injection and extraction of charge.
