As COO & CFO, my focus is on optimising the day-to-day operations of the organisation, including finance, legal, and facilities, using my expertise in strategic initiatives, teambuilding, and financial risk management. My role as Independent Non-Executive Director at Bord na Móna reinforces my commitment to strong corporate governance, financial oversight and the green agenda. Informed by my experience acquired at Mainstream Renewable Power, developing utility scale wind and solar projects globally, and at Vivid Edge, specializing in fully funded decarbonisation projects, our mission and BnM is to drive the transition from brown to green energy, through smart investment and responsible corporate leadership.I have a reputation for being calm and objective under pressure and having an ability to communicate the essence of complex issues and large volumes of data simply to a range of audiences. I thrive on meeting people and getting results though working with people. I’m an experienced public speaker and in recent years have presented at external conferences in Ireland, UK, Spain and France.Outside of the day job I support charities that tackle homelessness and poverty, including as Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of ALONE, which provides direct support to thousands of older people throughout Ireland to age at home through providing befriending services, advocacy and direct support.
