I have formed an enterprise architecture group within the department which so far has been involved in various projects and fora, e.g."Meldingsløftet","eResept","Kravspesifikasjon for PKI i offentlig sektor","Difis eID-program","Fellekomponenter i offentlig sektor i regi av Difi","Kjernejournal og tilgang på tvers","Database og applikasjonsløsning for Nasjonalt Råd for spesialistutdanningen","NHN Adresseregister","Sektorovergripende arkitekturgruppe i regi av KITH","CPP/CPA arbeid for kommunikasjonsl0sninger mot NAV","Helserefusjon", etc.This architecture group currently also represents the Directorate in various national and international forums with focus on architecture and information security.Apart from the above I have been an invited speaker at various conferences and seminars, giving presentations on topics ranging from PKI to NHN Adresseregister. Late in 2010 I gave a presentation at HelsIT on "Claims based Identity and Access Control" and its applicability to "Tilgang på tvers" and "Kjernejournal". Contracting for Logica (Norway) at Norsk Rikstoto

Part of a team developing Norsk Rikstoto's 3rd generation eToto solution. The solution is a complete rewrite of both the user interface and application architecture. The application architecture follows service oriented principles and my responsibilities aredesigning public contracts and service interfaces, developing services for Accounts and Money Transfer (including interaction with the BBS Clearing House), Prize Payment, Logging (including writing WCF-based extensions to log4net)… Show more Part of a team developing Norsk Rikstoto's 3rd generation eToto solution. The application architecture follows service oriented principles and my responsibilities aredesigning public contracts and service interfaces, developing services for Accounts and Money Transfer (including interaction with the BBS Clearing House), Prize Payment, Logging (including writing WCF-based extensions to log4net), Betting History, 3rd party partner betting services and also further development of Norsk Rikstoto's Service Registry. I'm also responsible for the overall database architecture and database development standards. Unit and integration testing is an intrinsic part of the development process. Responsible for designing and developing a distributed, service oriented application called the Nordic Utilities Business Information Exchange (NUBIX). This application was commissioned by the Norwegian regulator to facilitate a smoother and faster power supplier change process in the Norwegian retail market. It became a huge success.Also part of a five person team responsible for designing and developing Statnett's next generation Balance Clearing System. The system consists of two main parts, a WinForms application for use in the clearing department and a web-application for use by the department's clearing customers. I was chief designer of both applications. Both applications are developed using principles from agile methods and with strong focus on object-oriented best practices. The team is using a mix of proprietary and open source software to realise our goals. I have also been involved in the analysis and design of the underlying ER/DB-model.The web-application is developed using W3C recommendations separating representation from presentation using the latest web-development techniques based on CSS and XHTML with a strong focus on keeping things simple.One of a two person team who designed and developed Statnett's second generation Grid Clearing System. This system has an annual turn-over of NOK 3 billion and is one of two critical applications in use by the Clearing department. The application was developed using agile/extreme programming practices with strong emphasis on user involvement and ownership from day one.Designed and developed a web-application for Statnett and its customers for maintaining mandatory control of meters used by the national power grid of Norway. I designed and developed an e-trade solution for Stock trading. CORBA was used to integrate our solution with different broker systems. Primary programming language used was Eiffel, with Java and C++ used as secondary implementation languages.I designed and implemented a framework for presenting financial data. This framework is based on Microsoft's .Net and is written in C#. It uses web-services and .Net-Remoting, XML and XSLT extensively. Existing non-OO code was ported to Powersoft Foundation Classes Framework. Redesigned user dialogues and database schema. Integrated the application with Oracle Financials. Replaced a legacy invoicing system and enhanced its functionality.I wrote an application server for serving reports to web-clients. The Java applet was written using Visual Age for Java.Converted legacy systems and extended functionality in chosen framework for the Farled system.For Statistics Norway I rewrote their project recording system. The data model had to be redefined and the class hierarchy re-implemented.I also implemented free pivoting of reports for the introduction of SSB's Regional Database version 3. Outer-joins were used extensively at the client because Oracle 7.x does not support outer-joins betweenmore than two tables.For Visma AS I developed a generic interface for different «imaging» software packages and designed and implemented a common installation package for Visma's software product range.For the Norwegian Hunting and Fishing Association I, as a part of a three man team, participated in rescueing a failing project regarding their new membership application.
