Reporting to the Executive Director, collaborates with the development team to conceptualize, plan, and execute a coordinated fundraising plan including capital campaigns, and corporate, foundation and government grants to support AFH’s operating budget and special projects, in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals to fuel AFH’s creative vision for growth in Boston and beyond, and ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability.Eir leads a small institutional fundraising team supporting a $3M+ annual portfolio of institutional grants, in addition to institutional fundraising campaigns for capacity building, new program launch, special initiatives, replication, financial sustainability and capital, often in partnership with the Director of Individual Giving, Engagement and Events. Eir's focus areas include collaboration within the organization and beyond, impact storytelling, and building relationships to support trust-based philanthropy.

Artists For Humanity (AFH) provides under-resourced teens the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in art and design. Generated contributed revenue through sharing the story of Artists For Humanity (AFH) and their teen artists in the form of grant proposals, reports, and letters of intent. Part-to-full time (started at 24 hours per week, full-time from October 2016). Eir came to AFH with a background as a writer and filmmaker, and a passionate advocate for the arts. She began her career at AFH as a grant writer, and loves sharing AFH’s story as a living example of the power of art and creative enterprise to transform lives. AFH employs hundreds of Boston teens each year, and immerses them in project-based, experiential arts learning, intensive mentorship, and tailored academic supports. Though the transformative experience of paid employment in the creative industries, these teens gain respect and responsibility, and develop a mindset and skillset that will empower them to succeed in life, education, and the 21st century workforce. Beyond this, they learn that their unique perspective has value in the creative economy, and they learn to believe in themselves.

Prior to taking on a leadership role at Artists For Humanity, Eir was a regular at open mic sessions on Cape Cod and beyond. Her poetry has been featured in on WOMR's 'Poet's Corner', at the Hyannis Harbor Arts Center's 'Quality of Light' exhibition, in The Cultural Center of Cape Cod's Mutual Muses series ofexhibitions from 2012-2022, at Poet's Pathway in Middleboro, Out of the Blue Gallery in Cambridge, Wellfleet Ladies' Library, and in the Cape Cod Poetry Review. Eir writes across a range of genres, but has a special interest in film reviews (elholmy.wordpress.com), theatrical reviews, screenplays and essays.Eir is a narrative and abstract filmmaker, with work produced on 16mm reversal stock, super-16mm negative, and HD video. She is also a screenwriter keen to collaborate with talented individuals to produce film & media productions across a range of genres, including original dramatic television, short film, feature film and gallery work. Eir developed a speculative original TV series, 'Switch', a cyber-noir set in contemporary San Francisco featuring a powerful female lead and exploring issues around power and consent. Eir is fascinated with the notion of the 'Dancical', an emerging genre taking advantage of dance's ability to express viscerally the full spectrum of human emotions, including those which are darker and uniquely adult.Eir's independent creative work has taken a back seat with recent roles in full-time leadership positions, but remains the foundation of her passion for arts and arts advocacy.

Working within the Business Development department at University for the Creative Arts, coordinated outreach and provision of free training and networking events to women in the digital entertainment industry, as part of a $2M European Social Fund initiative the "Women in Digital Entertainment" project. Ensured financial tracking and compliance, including event and beneficiary record-keeping for audit. Organized training and networking events -- including documentary pitching workshop with acclaimed documentary filmmaker Paul Watson, residential screenwriting retreats, and Sony Z1 camera workshops -- and acted as first point-of-contact for professional contractors and project beneficiaries. Coordinated screening of member's work at the cumulative Conference, assisted with event operations and filmed Q & A sessions for documentation and dissemination.

Equal partner in a filmmaking LLP, with artist and acclaimed stage designer Richard Aylwin. Coproducing, filming, and editing collaborative projects for the Welsh National Opera and The Touch Trust among others, sound recording, overseeing studio equipment purchases, and directing projects as needed. Majority of projects were abstract visual "documentaries" designed to be projected on stage during live performances at the Welsh National Opera, in celebration of their neighbors at The Touch Trust -- where movement-based creativity is used to develop body-awareness and connection, transforming the experiences of children with cerebral palsy or severe autism.
