I am a senior property economist, market analyst and researcher translating solutions into tangible strategies to create vibrant and livable cities. As an Associate Director in the Economics & Property team at Cistri (the international arm of Urbis), I have extensive experience using economics and research to assess market potential, forecast income and perform international benchmarking for retail and other real estate investment classes.​With deep expertise in retail, I have undertaken many due diligence, asset optimisation and strategy development projects for retail centres and precincts in the broader Asia including those in Singapore, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.​ I’m proud to be a retail specialist who actually loves shopping and I enjoy visiting retail centres/precincts and seeing the impact of our work on retailers, shoppers and owners. I also enjoy analysing and sharing best practices when it comes to the economics, design and planning of retail precincts.As a data and research expert, I led the development of our Human Movement Data workflow and dashboard which greatly improved internal efficiency and enriched insights for clients. Furthermore, as the Singapore lead for the Data, Knowledge and Innovation Group, I established the international case study bank for the Economics & Property team and continue to be the bridge across the Australia and Singapore teams. I currently lead Cistri’s Culture & Engagement team as well, ensuring that our team continues to enjoy and remain engaged with the workplace experience. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Waseda University and a Bachelor of Law in International Politics from Peking University. I have lived in Singapore, Japan and China, and am fluent in English, Chinese and Japanese.Prior to joining Cistri, I worked for the Singapore Government, developing and implementing growth strategies for the oil & gas industry.On weekends, I enjoy trying new recipes at home and I volunteer regularly at a soup kitchen.
