I started in the fire alarm industry in 2009 in Las Vegas. The company I worked for was acquired by Reliance Electric in 2013 and I worked with them until 2021. I currently hold a NICET IV in fire alarm systems and hold a Master Electrician license in Colorado, a Journeyman Electrician license in Wyoming and fire alarm master/manager/designer licenses in 8 states. In 2021, I joined the company VelociWrapper in marketing to a global renewable energy audience and exhibiting at trade shows. In October of 2023, I joined KRS Electric as a design and engineering consultant with a focus on technology in construction. I helped to implement VR/AR technology into the construction flow for their projects. I continue as a consultant with KRS Electric. In October of 2023, I also started my own business, XYZmaster, which focuses on CAD and BIM modeling as well as other forms of 3D modeling and animation again with a focus on technology and pushing the boundary of what can be done in these worlds. I’m currently building a fire alarm training platform to teach real-world skills in the design and install of fire alarm systems with a long-term goal of expanding the education platform to other industries and skillsets.
