Launching Altersona, an Alternate Identity video-based social media platform that allows users to express themselves with altered appearances and voices, mitigating concerns about the impact on their real-life reputation. https://web.altersona.com/I have full ownership of applied science and ML operations, including the deployment of AI models at scale. I designed, implemented, trained, and deployed video-based diffusion algorithms to transform users' appearances and voices. Along with that I leveraged transformers, GANs, vision foundation models to create a robust identity altering platform. I engineered cloud infrastructure utilizing GCP, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security for our AI deployments. Additionally, I established the training and inference infrastructure to maintain and enhance AI model effectiveness and efficiency.

I was the chief scientist to lead Amazon's AI powered smart carts program, also known as the Amazon Dash Cart. The Dash cart uses a combination of computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms to help identify items placed in the cart. This empowers the shoppers to skip the checkout line. I was responsible for identifying key problems, designing and implementing algorithms, defining metrics, assigning owners and providing technical guidance. My role involved hands-on involvement in the entire program life-cycle; problem definition, research, POC, prototype and production.Apart from the Dash cart program, over my tenure at Amazon I worked and consulted on various other programs such as; Amazon Go (cashierless store powered by just-walk out tech), Amazon One (contactless identity service that uses your palm to enter, identify, and pay.), Amazon Robotics and Amazon Fulfillment.Here's a video showing the Dash Cart delighting a customer:
