Nerdy, I know, but the relationships between the words and phrases captivated me. Reading Dickens’ novels at age twelve, with a box of tissues at my side, showed me that stories can provoke strong human connections. This eventually led to a Master’s in Literature, and later, my short story publications opened further adventures. I spent the next decade at UTDallas’ Business Communication Center where I developed programs and workshops, trained and supervised tutors, coached faculty members, and provided feedback on countless student documents.
