Working in an innovate and challenging project that will have a positive impact to the industry. I'm creating a new team that will be involved in all the development life cycle, using latest technology to build backend services, frontend application and multiple integrations with third-party vendors.

I'm leading a group of engineers as part of a core platform team, our main goal is to build libraries (Java and Scala) that provides common functionality that will be used across multiple teams. We are also involved in the management and support of the API management tool. I'm a member of a engineering group that defines the best practices to be followed across the platform. (Java, Scala, Apigee, Maven, SBT, Microservice, Consul, Agile) Requirement gathering, design, coding, testing and implementing Restful API’s programmed to be the middleware between a new UI platform and business core components. Part of a core team responsible of the homeowners policy management web site for the in force policies. The application was upgrade using a new architecture based on services. One of my achievements was the design and coding in three months the Customer UI application where the PH (policy holder) will be able to view and modify their policy details, coverage, payments and documents. The biggest challenge was to accomplish the new UI design that the 'User experience' team constructed, it was a dare design because there were new elements that had never been used before in the company.For this project my role was as a leader and developer, having a team of 5 more developers. One of them as onsite and the rest as offshore in two different countries (Mexico and Chile). Another challenge I faced was to be able to communicate accurately to the team the objective, tasks and deadlines of the project. Beside that, my role consist in having continuously communication with the business analysts in order to have a clear understanding of the requirements and broadcast to the entire team.Used technology: .Net Framework 4.5; C#; SQL Server; MVC 4.0; Jquery; Ajax; Web services; two pending patents as co-inventor.

My objective in the company was to provide the best possible solution to the different clients based on the analysis of their business requirements, later on when the project was approved I was involved in the design, coding and implementation of the solution from the start to the end (mostly in all the cases).One of my biggest achievements was when I worked for First American Bank Core Logic at the QA department. My main role had three main responsibilities, the first one was to analyze, design and code a tool capable to compare two xml files, identify the nodes/attributes/ values that were different and report back to the end-user. It should also had to be able to process thousands of files using the minimum amount of time. Based on that we created a windows services that will be "listening" to a physical path folder on the server, where all the files to process where copied. One of the challenge I faced was that we were getting the two xml file from different source and theoretically they suppose to be the same, but sometimes we found out that the sort of the nodes and attributes where different and also there were some "known" differences that business was willing to let them be. For the sorting issue what we did was that before comparing the files we will order the files using the same algorithm, apply some custom rules for those child nodes that had the same identifier in order to be able to compare against the same node from the other file.My second task was to coordinate the developing of a web application where the end-user will have a dashboard with the amount of files that where process by the tool and from those, which ones have differences. Also the end-user was able to open a detail view of the file and see a visual representation of the differences.My third task was to be the leader that will pass down the information between business and the developers.Used technology: .Net Framework 4.0, Windows services, MVC 3.0 and SQL Server Database.

I was an offshore senior .Net developer working to an american company named Esurance. My main activities were receiving technical requirements, document, implement and test them. There were different types of projects I was involved, UI improvements, business rules implementations and code performance improvements.Mostly the technology we used was .Net Framework 4.0, SQL Server Database (create/update table, create/modify SP and create/modify functions) and Silverlight.My project manager and most of the team members worked directly on-site in the company headquarters and mostly all of the communication was via e-mail and phone calls.
