As a BEng. Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering graduate with a Masters in Computer aided systems for rapid product manufacturing, below is a brief summary of my past and current activities in my role as a CADCAM Manufacturing Engineer involving advance manufacturing technologiesMy Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering lead me to my current role to facilitate and manage the implementation of a CADCAM system for manufacturing medical tools and appliances.This required designing and manufacturing hardened stainless steel moulds. The role also required machine building and assembly so as to implement an automated manufacturing centre for utilising the tool moulds for a range of acrylic products. The successful completion of this project lead to a Master’s degree in Computer aided systems for rapid product manufacturing.I maintain skills in the use of Delcam’s Powershape and Copycad solutions for design and development of product moulds. As well as skills in Delcam’s Powermill software for developing machining strategies, with regards to tool life expectancy, surface finishes and time cycle optimisation requirements. Also quite confident in the use of alternative 3D CAD parametric software for product design and assembly. The principles are quite the same.Prior to my professional role as a Graduate CADCAM Manufacturing Engineer, I have time served experience in Programming, setting and operating CNC milling and turning centers. As well as workshop activities involving mechanical fabrication of jig and fixture assemblies, certified by ENTRA, further training with festos PLC systems lead to expertise in programming and implementing automated manufacturing facilities for my current company. But now wish to maintain focus on Advanced CADCAM manufacturing systems.The possession of strong IT skills complements my professional career.I like to continue to provide a thorough Manufacturing Engineering services in advanced technologies.
