Chief of Human Resources for a Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small-Business, that specializes in Information Technology and Intelligence services and consulting. My duties have expanded to new business development and supporting clients not only in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, but nation-wide. While overseeing overall HR Support, I manage HRIS, talent management and acquisition, employee lifecycle support, and HR operations and compliance.

  • Us Army
    Chief Of Staff
    Us Army Mar 2021 - Apr 2023

Senior staff member responsible for leading cross functional teams (operations, logistics, budget management, and human resources). Routinely analyzed and validated state requirements for civil support.
  • Us Army
    Committee Chair
    Us Army Mar 2019 - Mar 2021
    Arlington, Virginia, Us
I was selected to serve as the committee chairperson on a National Executive Council representing the Army National Guard recruiting efforts for Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, New Mexico, and Utah. As the representative, I led discussions on diversity recruiting, monetary incentives and bonus management, and community engagement. As a result, I would present issues and suggestions to the national council in order to develop policy changes to increase recruiting and retention metrics across the entire Army National Guard.
  • Us Army
    Director Of Recruiting
    Us Army Aug 2017 - Mar 2021
    Arlington, Virginia, Us
I led the full-cycle recruiting effort for the California Army National Guard. My team over-achieved our required goal for three consecutive years while growing market share across the state by an average of 5% against all other branches of the military. I am particularly proud of creating the first recruiting-based community relations council to assist in penetrating historically difficult recruiting markets. My grassroot approach bridged many gaps between the general public and the military; this effort was especially critical during the statewide COVID-19 restrictions which eliminated our ability for in-person recruiting efforts. Our community relations council was able to reach demographics on our behalf and continue to source and generate leads for my recruiting teams to assess and onboard into the Army.
  • Us Army
    Chief Of Operations
    Us Army Aug 2014 - Aug 2017
    Arlington, Virginia, Us
I directly oversaw the day-to-day operations and productivity for a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) which included 50 personnel and an area that encompassed 23 counties in two states. My station received recognition 2 of 3 years as #1 of 64 stations nationwide, using KPIs (cost reduction, efficiency and effectiveness of administrative functions, implementation of control measures for medical testing quality) to measure our impact across the Department of Defense. Additionally, I served as the program manager for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) program; testing nearly 55,000 applicants across the region, earning multiple accolades for exceeding mission goals.
  • Us Army
    Senior Human Resource Manager
    Us Army Jul 2012 - Jul 2014
    Arlington, Virginia, Us
I reported directly to the Director and led the delivery of workforce strategies and drove the effective implementation of key HR programs, policies, and practices (talent management & acquisition, retention, pay & entitlements, performance reports, and sponsorship program management). My team consisted of 11 personnel and was responsible for providing HR support to an organization of nearly 3,000 service members. I was personally responsible for the executive level recruitment of key personnel across a broad spectrum of cross functional teams.
  • Us Army
    Manager
    Us Army May 2003 - Jun 2012
    Arlington, Virginia, Us
The first 10 years of my military service, I served either in a direct leadership role as Manager or a key member of the leadership team in an Operations Manager role. Two particular roles I would highlight during this time are 1) I developed and implemented an instructor certification program for 45 personnel resulting in a 25% increase in test scores and 10% graduation rate for a 20-week Radar Operator Course. 2) I was the program manager for the Commander’s Emergency Response Program while serving overseas. I prioritized projects that focused on urgent humanitarian relief while providing significant employment opportunities for the local population and was personally responsible for the disbursement of $10 million USD over the course of 15 months. This program resulted directly in the preservation of life, prevention of major injury, and loss of equipment.
