Our mission is to bring practical and efficient NDE solutions to our clients while we extend your NDE ambitions. We are experts in NDE simulation and training simulators, based on CIVA software (developed by the CEA and distributed by us) and TraiNDE (developed by Extende SA). We consider simulation key to optimizing inspection parameters and verifying inspectability of parts, while minimizing the need to build costly mock-ups. My personal goal is to provide outstanding training and support to our clients in the US and Canada, to grow the business in this region by helping our clients reach their NDE goals, and to build relationships with both customers and co-workers that are based on integrity and respect.

Assist NDT efforts to ensure inspection plans meet design and quality needs. Tools used include probability of detection (POD) studies, experimental results and simulation software.

Provided technical support and assisted sales personnel for CIVA simulation software for nondestructive testing (NDT). Assisted customers in utilizing the software to optimize inspection parameters and verify inspectability of parts, while minimizing the need to build costly mock-ups. Taught classes on how to best utilize the software at either Magsoft or our customer's facility. Presented technical papers at NDT conferences. Helped increase CIVA sales for two consecutive years, including more than a 30% increase between 2008 and 2009.

Supported oversight of vendor quality, including nondestructive testing (NDT). Trained ISO 9000:2000 auditor. Qualified as an NDT Examiner in radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasonic inspections of base metal and welds in accordance with MIL-STD-2132 and NAVSEA 250-1500-1. After completing my Examiner qualifications in all four methods, I was also certified as a Test Administrator for the Nondestructive Test Examiner Qualification Program. Other responsibilities included providing NDT training to internal and external personnel, and assisting in the NDT portion of shipyard evaluations. Additionally qualified as a radiation worker from 2003-2007.

Coordinated with customers, sales representatives and manufacturing in support of customer needs. Wrote manufacturing instructions for each customized test fixture. Issued and updated manufacturing procedures and trained personnel in their use. Wrote corrective action reports. Performed internal audits of quality systems.

Negotiated, purchased and tracked hoods, casings and front standards for steam turbine systems. Purchased on a global basis from several countries. Responsible for the overall purchase of a $26 million commodity. Worked to selectively screen vendors and coordinated with engineering to achieve a $9 million savings for 1995 and a $4.8 million savings in 1996.

Provided shop support for automatic flame hardening, manual flame hardening and brazing of erosion shield on turbine blades. Updated the procedures for automatic and manual flame hardening prior to ISO certification. Wrote the specification for a new flame hardening machine, presented cost analysis, reviewed quotations and worked with supplier to develop new machine. Wrote numerical control programs and developed part set-up for the automatic flame hardening machine. Examined work flow and determined allocation of resources resulting in a 50% reduction in auto flame hardening cycle time.
