Always learning, always growing!Whether it’s just hanging out reading articles or watching YouTube in my spare time, educating myself on the latest business and computer tech, or trying to figure out a better way to accomplish day-to-day tasks, the wheels in my head are always turning.I’m never satisfied with “that’s just the way it is” or “we’ve always done it this way” or “it’s good enough”. Let’s be better, smarter, and get better at what we do!I had humble beginnings in this field. I started my journey in a humble CompTIA A+ introductory class in high school. I had a great teacher, and I still remember the lessons he taught us.From there I joined the Army. I grew my skill set, and took the technical lead on many projects in the various organizations, learning new techniques in automations scripting, server and network administration, and radio and satellite communications.My post-military life started with a brief stint in college. I completed my associates degree while working part time as a help desk tech. While I was limited in my hours and responsibility, I still worked at honing those automations skills, and got my first taste of computer systems imaging.At Ft Benning, GA, I really got some opportunities to branch out and try some new (to me) skills. I designed, administered, and operated a small-footprint imaging solution, complete with all the standard accoutrements. Driver management, scripting, load balancing, slipstreaming, WDS, MDT, and more were all put into play. It is still one of my proudest accomplishments, even if it was rudimentary and barebones. From there I assumed technical lead for help desk and imaging operations for my organization, and remain in this role through the present day. I have spent a lot of my time polishing my powershell skills, building GUI tools for coworkers, and producing training material for customers and coworkers alike.My latest projects are shifting away from complex Powershell scripts for windows systems administration to Microsoft Azure and O365 app design.Who knows what I’ll be working on next, but I’m sure it will be both a challenge, and a whole lot of fun at the same time.
