SIMS Lab (Dr. Frank Kachanoff)- Worked alongside a research team on a project that assessed inequality in society and how motivated participants were to take action against inequality, depending on the level of association between the advantaged and disadvantaged groups (e.g., having met the other group versus never meeting the other group).- Developed skills in experimental psychology, including prepping, conducting, and collecting data. - Acquired knowledge on how to ask for informed consent, deliver instructions during an experiment, monitor and record participants' behaviour, and debrief all participants.- Gained an understanding of the importance of equity considerations and advocacy for change for oppressed communities.
