Evan is an independent artist at Plought and is Co-Founder and Board Chair at Proximity Lab, a product-focused UX research and design studio based in Portsmouth NH. With a 30+ year career as a design leader and entrepreneur, Evan also teaches a graduate-level design course at the Dynamic Media Institute at MassArt and runs and an experimental art and design studio that deals with abstraction, analog systems and shared authorship. Before founding Proximity Lab, Evan was Co-Founder and Creative Director at Icovia, acquired in 2008 by 20-20 Technologies. In 1997, he co-founded Flywire, a regional digital agency that produced award-winning work for Fortune 500 clients.Evan has designed and produced products for top tier clients including Adobe, Unilever, Carvana, Oracle, and Bill Nye the Science Guy and has received a number of industry awards including a MITX Best in Show Award for Creative Concept. His work has been published in Stephen Wilson's Art + Science Now, The Language of Dynamic Media and Communication Arts.Evan holds a BS in Advertising from Syracuse University and a Master of Fine Arts in Design from the Dynamic Media Institute at MassArt in Boston. Evan co-founded TEDxPortsmouth, served on the Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire Advisory Board, was a founding member of the 3S Artspace Board of Directors and has been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and other non-profit organizations.
