I am a medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. I received my M.S. in Physiology from University of Cincinnati in August 2019, and my B.S. in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley in May 2015. I thoroughly enjoy understanding the complexities of biological molecules from a chemical perspective. My coursework prepared me for work as a professional chemist, while my work experience has evinced a passion for coordinating high-performing, cross-functional teams to improve healthcare delivery and patient centricity.I am deeply interested in health care policy and health economics, especially the interactions between the pharmaceutical industry, health insurance, and their combined effect on patient care. After leading Clinical Data Management teams and collaborating within study management teams to execute clinical trial protocols, I have a nuanced appreciation for the benefits and challenges that surround innovations in health technology. I find the direction and progress of healthcare fascinating, and anticipate the need for interdisciplinary professionals in the near future.I love being involved in education. During my undergraduate career I thrived on various teaching responsibilities, including instructing a lab class, organizing outreach presentations for stem cell research, and teaching choreography for a competitive dance team.I identify with my occupation, and enjoy investing in projects to ensure their success.
