As a Principal Investigator of the Tour de Coasts initiative, conducted research and series of engagements with the goal to begin meaningful knowledge exchange among the global network of Future Earth Coast (FEC) affiliated researchers and practitioners, and communities engaged with them. These partners have unique understandings of coastal sustainability issues reflective of a variety of coastal system types, geographies, and socio-economic realities. This work is supported by FEC and provides a forum for knowledge exchange about priority coastal sustainability concerns and aims to create a comprehensive understanding of coastal sustainability challenges and opportunities from a global perspective.

Assist in activities of the Community Engagement and Administrative Core teams.

• Contribute to efforts to enhance the SC Drought Response Program.• Collect and analyze drought impacts data and information.• Develop information and materials related to drought adaptation in South Carolina.• Coordinate with CISA on related drought efforts.

• Assistance and support to the State Climatology Office staff and the State Climatologist.• Assistance with the South Carolina Drought Response Committee meetings.• Research and data analysis of South Carolina’s climate trends in temperature and precipitation. • Analysis of data in support of drought monitoring and water management.

• Assistance in administrative and operational activities to the staff the Graduate School.• Front desk coverage; mail processing and distribution.• Provided researching, scanning, indexing, coding, filing of documents and updated databases according to the Graduate School and University of South Carolina policies and procedures.

• Assistance and shadowing of environmental lawyers at the SC DHEC General Counsel Office.• Assistance with note-taking, exhibits, preparation for hearings in the SC Administrative Law Court and depositions at McNair Law Firm, Columbia, SC, and Nexsen Pruet Law Firm, Charleston, SC.• Legal research of county ordinances regarding Resources Conservation and Recovery Act and Clean Water Act.
