CurrentKent and the Greater Philadelphia offices have been involved in employee benefits for over 30 years and in leading his team through 4 Mergers and Acquisitions since 2006. Through mergers and acquisitions he has spent his 30+ year career with John Hancock, Health Select, Zutz Insurance, HRH, Willis/Towers and now USI.Kent is a graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Beginning his career with John Hancock Financial Services, he has been a licensed insurance representative for over 30 years and has worked as a licensed agent, Team Leader, Managing Representative, and was co-principal of an agency. Today, he is one of two Employee Benefit Practice Leaders for USI Insurance Services, LLC in Wilmington, Delaware and Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Practicing insurance in multiple states, Kent has received his Chartered Benefits Consultant (CBC) and Disability Income Specialist (DIS) professional designations. He is also a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters. Kent has a passion for health care and has been involved in the national political debate over Universal Health Care and has served on a federal Universal Health Care committee with former President George H. W. Bush and on the Medical Society of Delaware Universal Health Care task force as a technical specialist. He has also been invited to speak at numerous State and Local Health Care Reform events involving the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).Kent and his dedicated Team serve employers in the region with 100-5,000 employees, bringing them "real" business solutions to lower their employee benefit spend.
