Led the efforts for increased adoption of GE’s data classification policy utilizing training & awareness campaigns, digital tools and updating policies/guidelines.Drove the ongoing critical business information efforts for GE Corporate including identification & deep-dive analysis of major sources of sensitive/critical data and assessing applicable policies & controls. Unified policies regarding critical business information & other types of sensitive information across a variety of technologies and tools.Provided a technical review of electronic & digital signatures including domestic/foreign rules regulations, global adoption rates and acceptance. Build vs buy assessment, 3rd party vendor management & overall solution for the electronic collection of critical employee signatures.Integrated the data protection maturity model with the ongoing company-wide ISO compliance initiative. Co-led a consortium of GE business unit CIO’s, CISO’s and Intellectual Property Counsels to capture a holistic view of the state of data protection within the Company and agree on rolling out the next generation of security solutions based on the gaps identified.

Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) is the premier organization within GE for personal and professional growth, developing leaders across the functions through extensive training and practical audit leadership roles. With three rotations a year in different GE businesses and countries, CAS members conduct comprehensive reviews of GE businesses, including financial reporting, risk management, cyber security, compliance and acquisition integrations/dispositions. It's an intensive program designed to provide high potential employees with unparalleled on-the-job development opportunities. *Information Security Audits*GE Aviation/Energy – IP Data Protection - Comprehensive review & audit of the CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composites) program & Engineering function to provide assurance on the protection of next generation GE technologies.GE Corporate – IT Change Management – Review of the company’s IT change management programs & policies including the advisement of the go-forward compliant segregation of access & duties.GE Energy – New Systems Implementation - ERP systems audit for the assurance of accurate financial reporting and mapping of the ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) processes to provide assurance on system security protocols and controls.*Financial Audits*GE Capital – Credit Stress Testing & CCAR – Financial credit models utilized for the CCAR submission to the Fed.*Consultancy/Advisory Engagements*GE Corporate – IP Insider Threat – Assessment of the company’s readiness level and programs to protect against the stealing of company data including data loss prevention tools & policies, application security audits on critical systems and algorithm based incident response.TechWorks – Startup created to develop & code the next generation audit tool for CAS & GE Capital Internal Audit from scratch.GE Healthcare/Corporate - Data Classification & IP Advisory – Review and overhaul of GE’s data classification policy & IP handling guidelines.

This is a 2-year rotational program.Relevant work experienceSecure Client Virtualization & Network Segregation - Early stage prototyping & development of virtualization solutions for access of the access of data based on sensitivity and security requirements. Proposed solutions included the use of internet browser virtualization, virtual desktop interface & segmentation of the network.Syteline MRP Implementation & Unison Divestiture - IT program management for the implementation & roll-out of a MRP solution to enhance production planning and inventory control for manufacturing processes. Unplanned divestiture provided an opportunity to lead the IT efforts in transitioning systems and reviewing/auditing IT security processes and controls.CRM (SFDC) Rollout & Data Governance - IT program management for the roll-out of Salesforce.com in the Military Sales Operations organization which had a unique use case of sensitive government data. Involvement in cloud-based security protocols, country specific data requirements & the KYC (Know your Customer) vetting processes & controls.
