As a volunteer SHINE conselor at the Swampscott Senior Center, I meet with people 65 and older regarding their health information needs. My responsibilities run the gamut of researching clients' Medicare options, helping with initial screening for Medicaid programs, assisting with Medicare/Medicaid and prescription drug programs and applications, and solving problems with health care issues.Provide presentations to elders on Health Care Information Needs.

. Spearheaded 2011 Annual Fundraiser sponsorships and donations through mailings, phone/personal solicitation and developing new contacts outside our industry.. Raised $7,000 in donations in 3 months through development of on-line auctions and restaurant fundraisers. At Your Side Advocacy Program Grant Committee Member - Research, brainstorm and write grants. Assisted with 2010 annual fundraiser: wrote copy for publication on Craig's List; collaborated with ticket & executive committees on ways to increase ticket sales; and solicited raffle donations, assembled raffle baskets and assisted with event logistics.

. Audited patient A/R system, enhancing data conversion integrity by 60% for new Integrated Health Record (axiUm) . Revised bad debt records retention system to meet State & HDC standards. Authored collections procedural manual to standardize and increase collection efficiency and accuracy, resulting in decreased collection resolution time from 18 to 5 months. Conducted collection procedure trainings for staff of 15. Spearheaded planning, organization and administration of comprehensive A/P web voucher system. Orchestrated special projects from inception to completion for conversion to Integrated Health Record System.
