Eknauth holds a B.S. and M.S. in Civil & Transportation Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), with his thesis in expert systems (artificial intelligence) development to improve and accelerate civil engineering design processes. Eknauth served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) from 1990 to 1997, including active duty and reserve service, in the infantry and is jump (airborne) qualified.
