Forestry and Wood Technology Club (FWTC) is an organization of students of the Forestry and Wood Technology discipline of Khulna University. This Club was founded with the purpose of bring the students of Forestry and Wood Technology more closely together academically and professionally, to do different activities together in the campus to keep the campus environment good and to spread knowledge and awareness about forest and the environment.Through this Club forestry students are able to come together and learn more about their profession with fellow students in an atmosphere that promotes individual growth and professional integrity.Forests of our country has been disappearing and degrading at an alarming rate for the last few decades due to social, economic and political problems. This condition has created major gaps between demand and supply of basic forest resources. In this situation Forestry and Wood Technology discipline of Khulna University is in strategic position to the forest deficient northern resion of the country where government has been emphasizing forestry extension and social forestry programs. It has given emphasis on area of forestry science, mangrove forestry, social forestry and wood technology. FWTC also try to improve the way our society view forests and natural resources through education and awareness.Our Mission: The mission of this voluntary organisation is to practice of forestry activities to enhance the competency of its members, to establish professional excellence.
