Location: FOB Boris, Afghanistan – January 1, 2012 - August 7, 2012- Serveed as a member of the C-RAM team on Forward Operating Base (FOB) Boris, Afghanistan by providing operational support of the C-RAM Sense and Warn component to the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC).- Operated the FAADC2 and FAAD3D radar monitoring systems by providing incremental updates to temperature, adding overlays as requested, and confirming indirect fire (IDF) tracks as necessary.- During IDF, provided adequate warn time to the FOB using the Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System (WAVES).- Performed preventive maintenance, checks and services (PMCS) of designated automated command, control, detection and warning systems.- Assembled and disassembled the Light Counter Mortar Radars (LCMR) and Multi-Function RF System (MFRFS) as required for operation, troubleshooting, or PMCS.- Developed reports and story boards based off of threat report data during IDF events, and reported it through the proper chain of command for notification of said events.
