El Larson is a Feng Shui and Wellness Design Consultant, using physical space as a remedy to support well-being. She is licensed in CA Real Estate, certified in Feng Shui (BTB school), the WELL and fitwel building standards, Tibetan Bowl sound healing, Reiki (Usui, Sacred Geometry and Shamanic), and Ayurveda. El practiced holistic healing modalities for over 20 years when she sought to apply principles of balance and well being to public space and the built environment. She spent several years working at RoTo Architects with Michael Rotondi while studying various wellness design practices. She blends in her work with sound by creating site-specific environmental sound design, with objects in the landscape and built environment, and composing custom tracks for spaces.Her aim is to bring deeper concepts of balance and well-being into the design conversation, supporting health through living and work spaces.MORE...El practiced and taught Mysore-style Ashtanga Yoga for 10 years, including two trips to Mysore, India to practice with the Jois family and study with meditation and pranayama masters. Her work in music (creatively, and in the industry) and a metamorphic experience in Buddhist caves led her to the use of sound as a therapeutic modality. She studied Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing with State-Certified teacher Diáne Mandle and Shamanic Drumming with Katy Ingersoll. In addition to traditional, sacred instruments she composes on a eurorack modular synth to convey sonic expressions (and stay true to her electronic music roots). In 2018, El began working at RoTo to consider applying wellness in the context of physical space, adding Feng Shui and WELL + fitwel to her practice.
