Dr. Struthers holds advanced degrees in Biological Anthropology and Occupational Therapy. She is an NBCOT certified and licensed occupational therapy practitioner specialized in community outreach & integration of children with disabilities and use of traditional craftsman style occupational therapy. Dr. Struthers has also worked in environmental enrichment to address stress and behavioral biology for captive great apes in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act. She has participated in ethnohistorical research related to disability and inclusion. And has conducted community based participatory research, family advocacy and community building activities in the American/ Mexican Borderlands and in Eastern Europe. Dr. Struthers is an anthropologist, interpretive educator and private consultant / practitioner. She is available for creative therapeutic and community education endeavors.
