I was a Legal Assistant at Muth Law, PC, a law firm specializing in personal injury located in Ann Arbor, MI. My responsibilities have included being the first person potential clients speak to at the firm and conducting intake, assisting the attorneys and paralegal with tasks related to cases, and drafting and sending communications to clients and potential clients. I hope to use my time at Muth Law to decide if I want to pursue a career as a lawyer myself.

I am interning at Congressman Shri Thanedar’s office this fall. My duties include assisting constituents with casework, answering phone calls, and staffing the congressman at events.

Assisted Congressman Thanedar’s campaign staff with donor prospecting and writing donor emails. Accompanied the Congressman to some campaign-related events.

This summer, I worked at the USPS Office of the Inspector General. This was a temporary summer internship position through The Fund for American Studies. In this role, I helped OIG staff to update and improve their existing framework for storing and eventually destroying records. I have learned a lot about records management and the laws surrounding how long government agencies and companies must keep certain records in my time here.

I spent Winter of 2023 in an internship role that I was able to get through the Michigan in Washington program. While in this internship, my main duties involved providing administrative support to the office staff. These included tasks such as helping to set up for various events, reaching out to Capitol Hill offices to help staff engage with Members of Congress on defense committees, and compiling online information.

I spent my summer curating an exhibit for the University of Michigan Library. It was on the legacy of the Greco-Turkish War. In particular, I covered the experiences of refugees who were forced from their homes and sent to either Greece or Turkey. I have linked the online exhibit below.

I organized the docent library for my university's archaeological museum. This involved first performing a shelf read, and then labeling the books with their Library of Congress number.

During my freshman year of college, I worked at one of the dorms at the University of Michigan, Bursley Hall. In this role, I assisted residents with packages and helped them in any way I could. I also issued keycards. Most of the time, I worked alone, so I had to learn how to be self-sufficient without direct supervision in this role.

I helped with a local campaign during the 2020 election cycle. I assisted in writing content for the candidate's website in order to give voters an accurate picture of what she stands for. In order to do this, I watched recordings of her debates and picked out things that she said to make her stand out. Additionally, I delivered candidate literature to voters, and handed out flyers at polling places. The candidate I helped, Krystle Dupree, is currently on the Ann Arbor Board of Education.
