I was recently hired as a tutor for medical students at my school, which is available to students at the top of their class during their preclinical years. I am very excited to be able to teach MS1/MS2 students.

In my first year of medical school, I joined the Richer Lab. My research has since been published in Molecular Cancer Therapeutics. I am currently working on a review article focusing on which breast cancer subtypes would benefit from androgen receptor antagonists. My preceptor during my preclinical years is a member of this lab. I enjoy seeing how bench research, clinical trials, and clinical practice intertwine.

I worked with Saratoga Hospital and Ellis Medicine, scribing for family medicine, ENT, EM, and breast surgery. I managed a site with six physicians in four specialties, hired and trained all new employees, created classroom training materials on common diseases and treatments in each specialty, and gave specific instructions on how to write notes.

Wallingford

As a baker, I made wedding cakes, French macarons, crème brûlée, cheesecake, and a variety of other wedding desserts. After being the primary baker making desserts for a year, I am proud to say we won Seattle Bride Magazine's Best Desserts. Now, on my days off, I explore the world of French baking by making canelés or kouign-amann. For me, baking is a precise art. It requires complex techniques and attention to detail. However, to make an outstanding dessert, you must use your knowledge of food science and flavor profiles to make the dessert your own. As a future physician, I have seen this delicate balance. It is essential to have a baseline fund of knowledge to drive your art of medicine.

Seattle

Starting my freshman year of college, I joined the Wang Lab. We studied TFIID, which is a major transcription factor complex. I specifically worked on TAF7 and analyzed its binding pattern to TAF1 using recombinant DNA techniques and making insect viruses to express my protein. This lab was my introduction to the scientific community.
