As an early retiree from the State of Pennsylvania, I amassed most of my 30 years of employee experience in legal offices doing Human Resources as well as drafting decisions (adjudicating cases) in Unemployment Compensation Law. For several years, I made decisions on whether thousands of claimants received unemployment benefits and researched case law to make those determinations. I've also worked as an HR manager for Tyco in 2004 and as a paralegal for a private firm and an insurance company. My goal is to assist small- to medium-sized businesses with their employee issues and problems, by being there as situations arise - from hiring to labor postings to discipline/termination to unemployment hearings and everything in between. The primary goal is to help businesses avoid liability issues as much as possible.Specialties: Representation in unemployment cases of all kinds. Assisting new employers with requirements for employees, including new hire laws and assisting all small to medium employers institute employee manuals, other employee forms - customized applications, job descriptions, performance evaluations and discipline. Also, handle terminations for companies through to UC with an eye to preventing all possible liability for the company.
