Started from the ground up, managing paperwork in evenings around working physically with trees during the day. Rapid, continual growth since 2018 has changed the role into full time office working, managing up to 10 staff, subcontractors, clients, work schedules and marketing for a successful tree surgery business. Have also managed and implemented significant changes including progression towards SSIP accreditation, ISO9001 and becoming Arborist Association accredited, SSIP was completed 2022, the rest to follow over the next few years. Quoting all work personally, managing all follow up client interactions and work bookings. On average we have 10 different clients a week, and 20 quotes, which makes organisation key, my management and people skills have assisted in the business being one of the highest rated and recommended tree surgeons in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.

I tackled all aspects of project management, adept with the paperwork side of things, comfortable with working with people – clients, suppliers and internal, and a very quick learner / adaptor, I hit the ground running at Balmoral, as I have everywhere I have worked, this is reflected in my career history. In Balmoral, I was promoted after the first year with them, despite my lack of qualifications which was initially cited as an issue.Scope of the projects I managed varied from values of the 10s of millions all the way down to development projects supplied FOC. I managed between 5 and 20 projects simultaneously during this time, average being 9 at a time, all of which had different clients, specifications, different testing, and different products. Some required all paperwork drafted from scratch, working with engineers, the workshop and design to gather the necessary information and finding any gaps. I was also personally responsible for numerous new systems implemented within the business, self-initiated; I saw productivity gaps and filled them.

Working within Tyco's hydraulic department, started in a Service Coordinator role, promoted directly after passing my probation to a Junior Project Engineer role due to my proficiency and capacity at performing tasks and managing jobs. I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to demonstrate this within this short period as there was a large quantity of staff vacancies and I was performing the Project Engineer role from the first three weeks of starting the job.As well as performing the day to day Project engineering I was involved in assisting with the running of large client contracts and process improvement. I suggested, and implemented a large number of process changes while working at Tyco in order to help me manage the heavy workload due to the lack of people.

Working within Tyco's hydraulic department, coordinating both internal and client service, maintenance, recertification, hire and sale of Hydraulic equipment. Start to finish processing of all jobs, direct client/workshop liason and prioritisation.Equipment dealt with on a regular basis includes Drawer Modules, Accumulators (Piston & Bladder), Regulators, PRV's, Hoses.

During this time I was responsible for the following;Hand Tool Repair Department Management, Coordination, Forecasting and Sales. The HAVmeter project technical support, Sales Technical Support, conducting External Training Sessions, Sales Administration, Hire Control, Asset Tracking, Maintenance, Procedure Creation, Internal /Client Systems and Kit Maintenance Coordination.External Client HAV Tool Tracking, Registries creation, Maintenance Schedules, Service Exchange, Certification, Start to Finish sales processing and client liaisons.Tool Hire department Certification Control, Maintenance Tracking, Logistics, Inspection Coordination, Document Control and Adhoc Hire Processing.In my spare time I was also known to assist management with sales and formal large tender administration support, generation and coordination.
