Responsibilities include:- Performing chemical and physical analysis for in process testing and finished product materials.- Performing analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC and wet chemistry techniques.- Maintaining good communication to ensure timely analysis.- Competent in MS word, excel and Empower.

• My thesis is titled: Synthesis and Characterisation of Novel Superficially Porous Silica Particles for use in Liquid Chromatography.•Part of an innovative chemistry group, and of the Analytical and Biological Centre for Research Faculty in University College Cork, and the Irish Separation Science Cluster.•My research has looked at synthesis in both organic solvent and supercritical carbon dioxide.•Trained in TGA, SEM, TEM, BET, HPLC, IC, UV and IR.

•Interning in the API Manufacturing Department of Pfizer. The main focus of my work here was to work as part of a team on three separate projects. I was also given the opportunity to visit Pfizer plants in New Jersey, Connecticut and Cork. •Collaborate with employees in Pfizer plants around the world to discuss project aims and progress. •Examining how lab, bench and pilot scale experiments for chemical processing could be scaled up for use in the larger plants with maximum efficiency.
