Hired by Medico to work with five (5) offices across Canada, to direct and grow Mediaco’s event production services division and expand the creative content development solutions. As the in-house producer, expanded the service offering to include creative and innovative meetings and events, audio, video/projection, lighting and staging equipment solutions, bridging the traditional gap between creative direction, technology and the live event. From conceptual development, budgeting, technical production and crew coordination, through entertainment & speaker procurement & management, including technical script writing and cue to cue show calling, to production & stage management.

Responsible for overall efficiency, consistent standards, policies and procedures, & daily operational management of a mid sized company providing large conference services to the international and national market. Responsibilities included proposal writing; sponsorship, conference and meeting set-up and management; oversight of technical, operations, logistics & conference management services; supplier relations; budget management and administrative & financial management. Also provided creative development for multi-cultural programs and ceremonies for International and national conferences, meetings and large scale events. Conferences & meetings managed ranged in size and scope from 100 - 10,000 attendees.

Responsible for all operational, financial and creative expertise on a variety of national & international projects from 100 - 5000 attendees. Developed preliminary conceptual plans, budgets through to detailed schedules, transportaion & logistics, negotiations & management of suppliers, technical production requirements and entertainment. With Rare Indigo, produced the following sample events: Opening & Closing Galas for the 2001 World Figure Skating Championships; Duty Operations Manager, 2003 World Weightlifting Championships; to name a few.

Responsible for planning, managing and executing the transportation of: 7,000 athletes; 1,000 coaches and official; 1,200 VIPs; 1,000 media; 3,400 volunteers between 70 venues and 5 athlete villages. Successfully ensured the smooth integration of all Pan Am Games transportation systems including the physical operational requirements such as construction of roadways, parking lots and changes to traffic flow and venue fit-up; planned and developed training guidelines for all transportation volunteers; chaired monthly meetings with venue and village transportation representatives; worked with federal, provincial and municipal as well as policing officials.

Contracted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and reported to the Director, Facilities & Operations managing the planning, preparation, construction and installation of 20 venues for APEC ’97 Summit for Ministers and 18 Heads of State. Over 8,000 delegates and 2,500 media in attendance - projected to take a year’s planning; completed within four months. Achieved over $250,000.00 savings by having a keen eye for the financial details submitted and negotiating with suppliers on the quality of goods delivered.
