Currently, I lecture on and co-coordinate the BSc (hons) Public Health & Health Promotion in SETU Waterford. I have over 30 years’ experience of teaching students about health and its determinants, and about how to be practitioners and consumers of research and evaluation. Outside of the academic setting, I am a member of the board of the Waterford Sports Partnership, Waterford City and County Council's Transport Strategic Policy C'te, and the national cyclist advocacy group, Cyclist.ie. I am also a regular guest on WLR's Saturday morning talk show to talk about environmental issues. Key areas of expertise: 1. Promoting physical activity & active transport (cycling & walking)2.
