Elaine Del Valle is a multi-hyphenate storyteller. Director-Writer-Producer-Actor.Elaine’s films have won festival awards, including at SXSW, Urbanworld, Seriesfest, Catalyst Stories and more.She is a winner of the HBO Latinx short film director award. Her short films, "Me 3.769" (2019) and "Princess Cut" (2020), can be seen on HBO/Max. Elaine is a WarnerMedia 150 artist, an Imagen Impact Award (double) nominee and Sundance Director Lab alumna. She began her entertainment career as an actor, and garnered critical acclaim while off-Broadway with her autobiographical, one-woman stage play "Brownsville Bred". The stage play depicts Elaine’s true Latina coming-of-age in Brownsville, Brooklyn (the murder capital of NY.) The New York Times raved, "From Girlhood Trials to Onstage Triumph““Seeing people so moved by my storytelling inspired me. I learned to value my perspective.”When Elaine is not directing, she is writing.A storyteller across mediums, Elaine’s "Brownsville Bred: Dreaming Out Loud" memoir was named a "Most Inspirational Young Adult" book by the International Latino Book Awards (2020). Her recent screenplay was a finalist in Screencraft Film Fund. Elaine’s original drama pilot, "The System", landed a development deal with CBS, and she was selected by WGA to participate in their 2022 Showrunner Academy.On a mission to make her own work, and expand representation and opportunities for underrepresented artists, Elaine founded Del Valle Productions, Inc. As a bilingual, certified MBE (minority business enterprise) with an eye for talent, her company was approached to source on-camera talent.Her Del Valle Productions casting division has become the go-to for discovering up-and-coming diverse talent and rising stars for high profile brands, agencies, and studios. It’s castings include for Arturo Castro's “Alternatino" (Comedy Central Digital) and Sonia Manazo's Emmy-nominated "Alma's Way" (PBS Kids, Fred Rogers Productions). Elaine received the Excellence in Arts award from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and was featured in the PBS documentary "Beating The Odds", alongside luminaries such as Michelle Obama.
