Program Manager for USA’s Industrial Engineering for Sustainability Program: Identification of cost-effective strategic capabilities that provide marketable services, designs or commodities for commercial space flight industry as well as other commercially viable markets.

USA Manager for NASA’s Industrial Engineering for Safety Program: Responsible for $14M worth of projects and studies that included the development of new technologies and designs to increase safety of personnel and flight hardware, which included Boeing subcontracts.

As a Project Team Leader, I lead a diverse team to develop an integrated Program Plan for the Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME) Program that allowed efficient, concurrent management of multiple contracts and multiple projects. The team consisted of project leaders with diverse backgrounds that resided in five geographical locations and encompassed skills in manufacturing, test and flight; therefore management of this team required strong leadership skills in concert with out of the box thinking to complete the project's goals. The team used newly developed technology such as Net Meeting and top-level program planning software as well as Continuous Improvement Processes to ensure success. • Success was gained and the developed product was completed on time and within budget.

As a systems engineer I was a member of the SSME group that was responsible for the on-orbiter leak and functional testing which was performed on console or on-site. I handled all the heat shield discrepancy corrections and I worked to help develop and improve the operations and maintenance procedures. I performed analysis and testing to complete the determination of the need for a heat shield modification I also was a member of the team that worked to develop a modification to the Vandenburg Launch Site SSME flame deflector. • Lockheed STAR Award for Vandenburg SSME flame deflector project • NASA/DOD Secret clearance held during employment with Lockheed.
