Provide support and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and their children who are staying in the shelter. Assess callers to the Crisis Hotline and provide appropriate interventions based on their immediate needs. Resident Advocates conduct intake assessments, maintain the client database, prepare rooms for new residents, and perform safety checks. They provide quality care using a trauma-informed approach, assess the shelter's needs, and coordinate with other service providers. Additionally, they facilitate activities for shelter residents, attend staff meetings and training, and maintain professional boundaries. They must act in accordance with the agency's mission statement and goals.

I ensured smooth daily office operations such as phone duties and checking in students. I assisted Head Director and Assistant Director in completing activities. I introduce students to Student Advocacy Services and RVSP services through presentations and tabling. I created and managed educational content on RVSP social media accounts.
