Previously I worked as a camera operator/production assistant for Celtic Football Club for two seasons prior to moving abroad for work. My responsibilities included, dealing with guests, carrying out camerawork (both filming live games and doing on-air interviews post-match) and helping with the running of live match day production and presentation. Since August 2017 I have been an LSV Mixer. This entails mixing the lights, sounds and vision for the stadium screens on match days, I am also trained to use NewTek Tricasters.

When I was approached by HP, I was working with my previous employer. The HP role was a business development position in Barcelona, which I helped customers and clients assess their current IT needs and recommended how to improve their infrastructure through the use of HP’s products. The goal during this time was to help all my clients achieve the Office of the Future, a project I headed up from my office, and to utilise their staff’s time while maximising revenue. The Office of the Future project aim was to get a team of sales representatives to push the Office of the Future tool to all their clients. I had six weeks to incentivise my team and produce results. The target at the time was an 40% increase on existing use, I produced a 73% result.

The role of graduate account manager entailed researching potential and current customers, new business development, cold calling, email marketing, achieving KPIs, call targets, and revenue targets. I also dealt with planning, delivering and hosting customer technology days. Maintaining up to date quotations, regular customer contact, understanding strategy and project-based work, building solutions, managing timescales and finances was also part of the day-to-day responsibilities.

Four years at SNS taught me the importance of deadlines, flexibility, customer relationships, teamwork and professionalism. SNS is Scotland’s premier news and sports agency, it started out as school work experience and sparked my passion for all things media. It was a demanding, competitive and rewarding learning ground. I honed my editing, Photoshop, social media and presentation-building skills during my time there. I worked on various videography and graphic design tasks, highlighting my creative abilities.
