As a former Meeting Planner, I have over 20 years of experience providing support to high-level management, Board of Directors, committee chairs and sponsors with different state associations. I have vast experience in planning board meetings, committee meetings and continuing education meetings. I was responsible for speaker, staff and Board of Director travel for meetings and different events. I am experienced with managing event registrations prior to the event, assembling information packets, and preparation of name badges. I have experience soliciting and securing sponsors and exhibitors for diverse events during my tenure with different associations. I am also experienced in accounts receivable and accounts payable in relation to events and programs. Previous duties have included membership renewal and member records as well as continuing education requirements and records.Currently, I am working in finance with Columbia Housing Authority and my duties consist of checking requisitions, composing purchase orders when required, and approving final payments for the entire company.I am highly organized and have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written. I am experienced with database management. I have exceptional strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical and leadership skills. I enjoy giving back to the community by being a guest speaker at University of South Carolina at the HRTM school and volunteering my time to different non-profit entities.
