With a proven operational track record across the world, I enjoy identifying, investing in, and building new business opportunities to re-imagine global food and agriculture. Prior to joining Indigo, I was Chief Operating Officer of Myanma Awba, the leading group of companies in Myanmar focused on agriculture. This was a broad general management role with P&L accountability, wide commercial remit and significant team leadership responsibilities.I have also held various leadership roles with large agribusiness in Global HQ, regional office and country offices. I led business development for Syngenta's Southeast Asian business where I crafted commercial strategy, formulated new business models and drove market entry into Myanmar, Cambodia and parts of Indonesia. Early years of my career were spent building a broad consulting, finance and PE skill-set through cross-border M&A and corporate advisory engagements for blue-chip companies seeking to enter the Chinese market. This included target screening, valuation, due diligence and deal-making, concluding with a number of successful foreign acquisitions of Chinese companies. Originally from the UK, I hold an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Cambridge University.
