I am an impassioned student advocate with the experience and drive to addresses the wide array of student needs in the promotion of academic and personal success. 7 years ago, as a founding counselor at my current school site, I played an instrumental role in the development of a school-wide mental health program, taking ownership for several programs including: advisory curriculums for grades 6-8, a mentorship program, peer-tutoring program, college and career readiness, partnerships with mental health organizations, and the establishment of restorative circles as a school-wide practice. In the 2018-2019 school-year, I was awarded “Counselor of the Year” for the Alliance College Ready district before transitioning into the position of Dean of Students.
