About Elayne Cilic
I’m an Emmy-nominated unscripted producer with over 20 years of experience producing top-rated series for broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms, including Netflix, HBO Max, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, A+E, History Channel, Discovery Channel, and more. I’ve served as an EP/Co-EP on 20+ series across genres and formats, most recently on AMPLE Entertainment’s true crime series MURDER IN THE HEARTLAND (ID). I previously spent four years at 25/7 Productions, where I led production of multiple competition series, including three seasons of Netflix’s global phenomenon, ULTIMATE BEASTMASTER. I also produced several series for 3 Ball Productions, including THE BIGGEST LOSER and ENDURANCE, for which I earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Children’s Program. Other notable credits include MASTERCHEF (FOX), HOW TO GET RICH (Netflix), THE MOLE (ABC), and THE BIG SHOT WITH BETHENNY FRANKEL (HBO Max). One of my favorite aspects of working in unscripted TV is the opportunity to learn about people and subcultures I otherwise wouldn’t have access to. I love diving deep into a show’s subjects, researching different worlds, and finding stories that resonate with audiences. I’m also drawn to the collaborative nature of the creative process – I pride myself on my ability to communicate effectively with executives, producers, crews, and talent to preserve a project’s overall creative vision. I keep a cool head under pressure and have successfully led teams of 50+ producers and editors and 200+ crew members to execute all phases of production, from prep through post.
Listed skills include Reality, Field Producing, Producing, Television, and 28 others.

Executive Producer
CurrentAMPLE Entertainment is a leader in true crime storytelling. I served as a Co-EP on ID’s MY MURDER STORY and seasons 3 and 4 of MURDER IN THE HEARTLAND, and I rose to EP on the latter series for seasons 5 and 6. These shows were my first forays into the world of true crime, but I quickly learned that great storytelling is great storytelling, no matter the genre or format. I enjoy leading a team of editors and post producers to tell these tough narratives in a way that promotes sensitivity and honors the victims.
Executive Producer / Co-Ep / Producer
I’ve produced over 20 series for broadcast and cable networks and streamers, in formats ranging from competition to travel, lifestyle, docusoap, culinary, and infotainment. I’ve developed strong relationships with top-level producers throughout the unscripted world, especially through my work with prominent production companies like Studio Lambert, Original Media, Evolution Media, and High Noon Entertainment. As an EP/Co-EP, I led teams to conduct research, cast talent, ideate story beats and formats, shape narratives in post, determine series’ visual style, and deliver final cuts. I’ve worked on several shows in their first seasons, where I established the overall creative vision and planned out production processes. Additionally, I’ve consulted with several international production companies to repurpose or reboot formats for the global marketplace. One of my favorite freelance projects was THE NEXT: FAME IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP, a singing competition-docusoap hybrid for The CW. The series featured mentors Gloria Estefan, Nelly, Joe Jonas, and John Rich and up-and-coming musicians from different cities across the US. We shot docu-style and produced concerts in multiple cities, and the final few episodes were all live. I enjoyed managing relationships with top-tier talent and supervising a fast-paced production with so many moving pieces.Credits include:HOW TO GET RICH (Netflix)THE BIG SHOT WITH BETHENNY FRANKEL (HBO Max)BIG SMO (A+E)AMERICAN GRILLED (Travel Channel)CRYPTID: THE SWAMP BEAST (History Channel)SAINT HOODS (Discovery Channel)MAKING MR. Co Executive Producer
For four years, I served as the second-in-command at prolific reality producer Dave Broome’s production company. One of my primary shows during this time was ULTIMATE BEASTMASTER, a first-of-its-kind international obstacle course competition for Netflix. The series featured athletes from 9 countries and was localized for 9 different markets globally – so for each season, I produced 9 iterations with different hosts, contestants, and story arcs. I adapted the stories to fit each market, paying close attention to different broadcast standards and audience tastes. It was an extremely complex production from a logistical and creative standpoint, and I’m proud to have delivered 221 localized episodes that were met with positive reviews.I also produced AWAKE: THE MILLION DOLLAR GAME for Netflix, which featured contestants competing in challenges after spending 24 hours awake. I guided a team through pre-production and post, including developing gameplay, casting talent, creating background packages, writing host scripts, and overseeing the edit. Other credits include S.T.R.O.N.G. (NBC), on which I led post-production for a fitness competition series, and THE BRIEFCASE (CBS), where I led a field team in locations across the US to follow cast members experiencing financial hardships as they received a briefcase of $100K.
Executive Producer / Co-Executive Producer
As an in-house EP/Co-EP at Reveille, I produced the first season of FOX’s hit series MASTERCHEF and the pilot of a medical series DIAGNOSIS LIVE. I also collaborated with the development team to ideate concepts for the company’s development slate and produced several sizzle reels.
Co-Executive Producer / Supervising Producer / Producer
I produced several series for 3 Ball Entertainment (formerly 3 Ball Productions), most notably ENDURANCE (Discovery Kids) and THE BIGGEST LOSER (NBC), as well as FOR LOVE OR MONEY (NBC), 7 DAY SWITCH (Lifetime), and BEAUTY AND THE GEEK (The CW).ENDURANCE was a survival-themed competition series for teenagers, and I’m proud to have received a Daytime Emmy nomination for my work as a producer on the Hawaii season. I also served as Co-EP on the show’s season set in Fiji. We shot on an uninhabited island with a production crew from New Zealand and local staff, and I cultivated an environment on set where we could bridge communication gaps, create a cohesive team, and make sure everyone was aligned on the complex logistics, cast safety, and overall creative vision.I started on THE BIGGEST LOSER as a Producer in season one and was promoted to Supervising Producer for the S1 finale and reunion special. I was then promoted to Co-EP for seasons 2-4, as well as several “Where Are They Now” specials. I pitched episode ideas to the network and communicated with stakeholders from all three production companies behind the series to align on the creative direction. I also managed relationships with hosts Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, cast contestants, ideated challenges, supervised producers in the field, and guided editors during post.
