I work in the Office of the Chief Data Officer (OCDO) at the Department of Education where my team develops innovative data & analytic products while leading data skills training.With 15 years of consulting experience in federal agencies for IBM's Public Service practice, I successfully led many projects in strategy, predictive analytics, simulation, process re-engineering, and text analytics. I received my Masters of Science in Public Policy & Management (MSPPM) from Carnegie Mellon University, where my graduate research was on best practices in simulation & spreadsheet analysis (published in both peer-reviewed and popular venues). My prior experience includes grants management, fundraising, strategic planning, & revenue modeling.Some of the things I'm passionate about:- Sharing resources with other government leaders in data, analytics and AI. I collaborate on data skills sharing and data science collaborations through several cross-agency forums (e.g., Chief Data Officers Council and Subcommittee of Equitable Data) and with other agencies.- Analytic quality.
